Navigating Career Choices After Adtech Layoff
Hello, I recently lost my job at an adtech company where I was a Technical Account Manager focused on managing dsp ortb integration with various SSPs. Our company had undergone a merger, combining two products, which made my role redundant and more expensive compared to overseas labor. I found a lot of satisfaction in working on dsp ortb programmatic projects and I am actively looking for similar roles. However, most of the available positions seem to be on the SSP side. Is it worthwhile to consider an agency role? Would taking a programmatic trading position be a step back? My passion is to stay in adtech, but I am also open to exploring a hybrid sales/technical role for a different product.
